10.08.10 : Texas > Oklahoma > Missouri
Last night was Dallas and tonight is Kansas City, so we drove to my friend’s house in Oklahoma after the show, to sleep. Thank goodness we did, too, because the car started acting really weird toward the end of the drive, shaking like crazy, and this morning I had to get up (after about 4 hours of sleep) to take it to a Volvo place in town. It’s a blessing that the tiny town of Edmond even had a Volvo specialist.
While we waited for the call from the shop with my prognosis, we had some amazing home-cooked Mexican food, and I showered for the first time since Albuquerque. YUP! I’m secretly a hippie. Shhh, don’t tell the punks or the hipsters.
The call came, and it was the best possible news: I just needed to replace the other two tires, which were totally worn through. I was lucky to have made it that far, said Swedish Import Repair. They had two like-new tires and gave me a great deal, and we got on the road about an hour late. Such a relief!
I swear, between all my generous friends and the kind strangers I’ve met along the way, I feel like the universe is watching for me on this tour. I’m very blessed, and extremely grateful.
I’ve been posting tour videos at youtube.com/sarahsaturday, and daily photos at sarahsaturday.tumblr.com. If you’re on Foursquare, you can follow the tour check-ins too; just add sarah@gardeningnotarchitecture.com. I’m constantly tweeting updates and G,NA specific stuff at twitter.com/GNAtweets. Keep in touch and watch this crazy tour unfold!
Kansas City tonight is gonna be AWESOME!
Love,
Sarah
P.S. Here’s a photo of the infamous, yet-to-be-named tour car!

Yeah rock’n the Volvo. The most bad-ass wagon on the face of the earth.
